Drawing on its expertise as the project owner of the Grand Paris Express, the Société des grands projets also supports local authorities in the implementation of regional metropolitan express services.

Decarbonising mobility, reducing geographic and social inequalities, supporting local development—transport projects are far more than technical undertakings. They are drivers of progress, serving the goal of more inclusive, sustainable, and resource-conscious territories. It is in the name of this promise that the Société des grands projets is building the Grand Paris Express and supporting local stakeholders who wish to design and bring to life new mobility services. These major decarbonisation initiatives contribute to the local implementation of ecological planning and will help position France as a leading green nation. Each project offers practical solutions to simplify the daily commutes of residents.

With more than 1,000 employees, the Société des grands projets is one of France’s leading public infrastructure project owners. It was established in June 2010—originally under the name Société du Grand Paris—to oversee the delivery of the Grand Paris Express.

Our main missions are to:

• Design the Grand Paris Express

• Oversee the construction of the lines, infrastructure, stations, and facilities

• Procure rolling stock on behalf of Île-de-France Mobilités

• Coordinate interconnections with the existing network alongside SNCF Réseau and RATP

• Support the transformation of the metropolitan area through urban development and real estate projects around stations.
