Summary of the Socio-Economic Impact of the Hydrogen Sector Study
France Hydrogène and BDO present a summary of the study on the socio-economic impact of the hydrogen sector.
The study is a socio-economic assessment based on a robust methodology aligned with international standards, applied to the renewable and low-carbon hydrogen sector (Hydrogen produced via steam reforming and carbon capture is outside the scope of the study).
It is based on an in-depth analysis of the economic activity generated by more than 120 projects, 200 companies, and 340 sites, covering the entire value chain and all types of actors in the sector (project developers, equipment manufacturers, producers, etc.).
For each company, 3 economic indicators were evaluated (turnover, added value, and jobs) covering 4 ecosystems (direct activity, tier 1 suppliers, company employees, and hydrogen users).
