
French Ministry of Ecological Transition
Overview
The Ministry of Ecological Transition is responsible for preparing and implementing the Government’s policies in the areas of sustainable development, the environment and green technologies, energy transition and energy—particularly with regard to pricing—climate, prevention of natural and technological risks, industrial safety, transport and its infrastructure, public works, and maritime affairs, excluding shipbuilding and ship repair, as well as in the fields of marine fisheries and aquaculture.
The Minister designs and implements policies to combat global warming and air pollution, and promotes the sustainable management of scarce resources.
They also contribute to the development of research programmes related to their areas of responsibility.
The Minister is involved in European and international climate negotiations.
