The Minister of Labour: Responsibilities and Organisation
The Minister of Labour prepares and implements the Government’s policy in the areas of labour, employment, vocational training, social dialogue, and the prevention of workplace accidents and occupational diseases.
Key Responsibilities

The Minister develops and enforces regulations concerning working conditions, collective bargaining, and employee rights.

In coordination with the Minister for Social Affairs, Health, and Women’s Rights, the Minister is responsible for drafting and implementing regulations related to the social security system, specifically concerning workplace accidents and occupational diseases.

The Minister is also responsible for the promotion and protection of employment, including policies supporting the return to work, as well as for the vocational training of both young people and adults.

The Minister contributes to Government efforts in combating fraud.
